Take your game day appetizers to a new level with these grilled Turkish chicken wings, a delicious and easy alternative to traditional chicken wing recipes.
It kind of feels like we went from August to November in good old New Jersey. We went from a week solid of non-stop air-conditioning to sweatshirts. And with it, the arrival of football season. I’m not a huge football fan, though I aspire to spending my Sunday afternoons relaxing, watching a game and make delicious appetizers. (OK fine, it’s the delicious appetizers more than the football!) Chicken wings are one of the most quintessential game day appetizers, and most folks probably go for Buffalo or barbecue. Why not kick up you game with these Turkish chicken wings? Or how about sweet and spicy Korean wings?
These are super easy: just throw the spice blend and wings in a bag and let them sit for a while before grilling. Serve with a squeeze of lemon and they will disappear before you can say touchdown. These are pretty mild, so they’re perfect if you’re also serving kids. My girls devoured them. Want more heat? Just add some more pepper flakes or through in a pinch of cayenne.
